This October we’re proud to offer a unique family membership that provides a range of tools, resources and opportunities to build nature play into the everyday. And more importantly, it’s a way to bring like-minded families together, sharing ideas, advice and of course, a few splashes of mud. A community. A tribe. So get ready to jump in – gumboots-n-all – and join the movement!
We also run, or partner with others, to offer affordable, family-friendly events that see children building cubbies, making mud pies, flying kites, meeting new friends, testing and challenging themselves, and providing an outlet for their natural curiosity and creativity, all of which helps to foster an appreciation for the natural environment.
And, there is a range of free resources available for download, including seasonal lists of things to do with your children outdoors. These are available to both members, and non-members.
For educators, including those homeschooling, this October we will provide a professional membership that enables access to an online portal designed to empower you in your pursuit to successfully incorporate nature play theory and practice into site culture. The portal features the latest research; information on standards and policies relevant to nature play, including risk management and assessment; videos and podcasts with local, national and international experts; and, an online magazine with content relating to nature play theory, practice and pedagogy.
In addition to the membership, we provide a range of services to assist and support those in education settings, including incursions and excursions, professional development, conferences and workshops, guest presentations at AGMs and parent information evenings, and site consults to offer advice on creative ways to use your outdoor learning spaces.
