Nature Play SA is once again proud to be the not-for-profit partner for Outdoor Classroom Day Australia!
More than just one day, our aim is to get as many children as possible playing and learning outside, every day, with a celebration of outdoor learning and play on November 2nd, 2023.
Outdoor Classroom Day is something that can happen every day, and we want to continue celebrating being in the outdoors, in whatever way we can, every day, right up to the 2 November date, and beyond!
Through play, we will help children retain their connection to the natural world during the coronavirus crisis.
The theme of this year’s Outdoor Classroom Day is Love the Outdoors!
Children are spending less time outdoors than ever before and this is affecting their health, wellbeing and love of the natural world. Time outdoors makes children happier and healthier, as well as helping them form habits that will stick with them for life. They’ll have a love of the natural world and will take action to protect it.
It’s easy to get involved and there is something everyone can do!
If you’re new to outdoor learning, why not use Outdoor Classroom Day to try it out? Or, if you’re already involved in outdoor learning, use the day to celebrate what you do and inspire other teachers around the world to join in.
Every fortnight we’ll be sharing ways to celebrate Outdoor Classroom Day based on the COVID-19 situation in your state or territory. You’ll discover ideas and inspiration to help children Love the Outdoors in whatever way is right for you, and learn how to be part of the movement for more time outdoors every day.
