International Mud Day!

International Mud Day!

Thursday 29 June 2017 @ Wigley Reserve, Anzac Highway, Glenelg

June 29 is ‘International Mud Day’ and for the third year running we’ll be joining communities around the world to get dirty, play outdoors, and have LOADS of fun!

PLEASE NOTE OUR INTERNATIONAL MUD DAY CELEBRATION EVENT HAS REACHED FULL CAPACITY AND UNFORTUNATELY NO MORE REGISTRATIONS CAN BE ACCEPTED

** We’ve had an amazing response from the community for our International Mud Day celebration! We are grateful for this but have reached capacity for attendance. For the safety and enjoyment of registered attendees, we are no longer accepting bookings.

If you have missed out on this event we encourage you to hold a mud day celebration event of your own – get into your yard or local park, host a mud day celebration at your education or childcare setting, or go on a muddy adventure somewhere wild! Share your celebrations with us on social media #MudDay #NaturePlaySA and enjoy being part of this global celebration! **

In 2017 we’re partnering with City of Holdfast Bay to bring Adelaide nature players mud pits & kitchens, clay play, beautiful bell tents for story-time and loose parts play, and more!

We invite you to join us at Wigley Reseve, Glenelg, from 9.30 am – 2.00 pm on Thursday 29 June for this family-friendly event. Our International Mud Day Celebration primarily targets our pre-school and infant community, however all children and excursion groups are welcome!

This year’s event requires registration to help with planning and a gold coin donation is requested upon entry to assist with event costs and support Nature Play SA’s work as a non-profit organisation. TO BOOK YOUR SPOT: please complete your registration details below and make sure you also follow our Facebook event to stay in the loop with updates and important event info!

Why Mud Play?
Mud play has a multitude of benefits for our kids: it’s been proven to support happiness and well-being through exposure to friendly bacteria; supports the development of healthy immune systems; allows children to be creative and imaginative; and helps to build a connection and love for nature!  Most importantly however, mud play is stacks of fun and events such as International Mud Day give children the freedom to get dirty and enjoy quality time outdoors with friends and loved ones! Find out more on the benefits of Mud Play via our Dirt + Water = Childhood info sheet.

We look forward to mud playing with you soon!
