Our whole school outdoor learning days are a series of nature-inspired experiences that invite children to be curious, creative, playful, resilient, nurturing, and develop a strong sense of agency and community. Days can be tailored to include educational art and craft sessions around local flora and fauna, geocaching, interactive biodiversity talks/walks, experimenting with nature-derived textures.

Where students and educators explore loose parts for play and learning

Are you looking for a wet-weather incursion option this winter?

Look no further than the Nature Play SA Loose Parts Play and Learn experience where students learn and play while educators observe and reflect!

During this indoor session, facilitators will lead a dynamic loose parts workshop for children and educators at the same time.

Students will explore small, medium and large loose parts play with nature showcasing natural treasures for creative play. They will enjoy cubby building, storytelling with small loose parts, creative team challenges and junk play in a school gymnasium or activity room of your choice.

With guidance from the Nature Play SA team, year level or  OSHC educators will explore current theory, reflected on activities, and plan further implementation of loose parts into their year level curriculum or OSHC service.
