Grassland Field Trip

Your kids will love the blend of art and science in this nature discovery event, where they will learn about the exciting life that exists in one of AdelaideÍs most unique natural areas in the heart of the city.æA program of five fun and educational guided activities will encourage curiosity, imagination, exploration and discovery.æExperience a Kaurna smoking ceremony, peer through a microscope to discover specimens from the South Australian Museum and maybe even spot the rare Chequered Copper Butterfly on our new biodiversity trail! Bookings are essential as only 50 places are available (for children).

Target Audience: 5-12 years with parents/caregivers
Region: Metro and Greater Adelaide
Where: Victoria Park / Pakapakanthi Biodiversity Site. This area is encircled by a wooden fence. Keep an eye out for the geodesic dome!

Spring Holiday Nature Playgroup
Hosted By: Adelaide Hills Outdoor Playgroup and The Hut Community Centre
Adelaide Hills Outdoor Playgroup are holding a family event during the spring holidays at The Old School Community Garden in Stirling. During the playgroup, children can explore and play at many of our nature art and play activities. There will be a sausage sizzle and coffee available on the day. Activities for the morning will be:
* Make delicious herb, flower and mud soup at our soup kitchen. So much messy fun! *Play in our sandpit watercourses. *Clay play *Nature sensory exploration for babies *Quiet reading area under the big old ash tree *Dress ups *Role play in the cubby house *Loose parts play *Exploring the garden *Nature Crowns
