Anstey’s Nature Adventure Kits

Are you an adventurer or a discoverer? Our library mascot Anstey loves seeing children discovering the library, so we have put together a discovery kit full of all the tools you will need to go on an adventure, look for clues and find all the answers to our Anstey's Adventure Quiz! Kits are on loan for a maximum of two hours. Kids must be checked out and checked back in inside the library.

Kid’s Nature Challenge

Explore the nature of Cleland Wildlife Park! Get active, have an adventure of discovery on the kid's nature challenge. Fun activities include: Nature mud art, create a cubby, nature hunt and find your favourite Cleland place.

Cost: Family $61 (2A + 2C) (1A + 3C), Adults $25.50, Child (aged 4-15inc) $12, Concession $20, Free entry for carers. All activities are free with park entry

TimberNook October School Holiday Programs

TimberNook is an innovative nature-based programs combine a health and educational curriculum to bring children outdoors in sensory-rich experiences that inspire, restore, and challenge the mind and the body. Our October School Holiday kids-only programs will see unique play experiences ranging from a life sized-car wash, to digging for dinosaur bones, to playing with colour and creativity on a grand scale, or building a water run in the woods, followed by hours of free play in the beautiful surrounds of the Douglas Scrub camp site.

Flinders University is calling all explorers to experience our spring garden fun, education and entertainment!

Held during the school holidays, we've partnered with Nature Play SA to cultivate a packed program of free activities and experiences for the whole family to enjoy.

Come and be amazed by the weird, wacky and exciting wonders of science live on stage, construct your own cubby house overlooking our picturesque lake, or create a seasonal seed bomb to take home to your gardenƒ..SpringFest is a great day out for all kids big and small!

Family Fun Nature Play Session

You can expect a whole lot of outdoor fun including mud play, nature craft, loose parts play, water play, bush cubby building, potion making, tree climbing, tyre swings and lots more fun and games. We will also be making seed bombs with flowering natives for the children to take home. Bring a change of clothes and bag for your muddy items. We have a warm shower available for those cooler spring days! Children of all ages and capabilities are invited to join us, along with their grown ups. We cap the sessions at 200 people, this is to ensure an enjoyable experience and so that there is no line up for activities or toilets. Location is fully fenced and secure with toilets and coffee van inside.

Cost: $25 per Child + $5 Adult

You can expect a whole lot of outdoor fun including mud play, nature craft, loose parts play, water play, bush cubby building, potion making, tree climbing, tyre swings and lots more fun and games. We have a warm shower available for those cooler Spring days! This is a drop and go style event, where parents can drop off and pick up anytime between 8:15am and 5:15pm. Think of it as a waaaay better version of Vacation Care! The area is large, but fully fenced and secure, so you don't have to worry about your little ones escaping. Staffed by experienced educational professionals with 1:10 ratio.

Cost: $65/child
