You’re invited to visit the Nature Play SA pop-up shop at our beautiful Wittunga Botanic Garden headquarters! Come browse and purchase from our thoughtfully curated selection of books and quality products which aim to inspire and support your children’s time in the outdoors. Our 2018 Calendar will be hot-off-the-press and also available to purchase. While you're in the area, take the kids for an explore or enjoy some time-out for yourself and discover the gardens in bloom!

Flinders SpringFest proudly featuring Nature Play SA

Come explore, play and discover Flinders! Get your hands dirty this spring and dig around our campus. Partnering with our friends Nature Play SA, we've cultivated a vast garden of exciting outdoor activities for the whole family. Whether it's building your own cubby house overlooking our picturesque lake, brewing natural potions in our palatial plaza, becoming a paleontologist for the day, or building your own recycled materials there's something for everyone. Join us for a day of spring cleaning the soul!
Cost: Activities are free, and so is the parking!

Cubby Town: by the creek

The magic of Nature Play SA's major Cubby Town event has been packaged into an intimate family cubby building adventure in Belair National Park! Discover our special creek-side cubby space, beautiful bell tents for reading and loose parts play, create a eucalypt mask, spot local wildlife, and play to your wild heart’s content!
Cost: $18 child / $5 adult (+ booking fees). National Park entry is covered with your ticket.

Whittle and Weave at Wittunga
Hosted By: Nature Play SA
Spend a morning outdoors at our scenic Nature Play SA headquarters as our team guides your nature players in the arts of weaving and whittling! Children will be empowered to whittle their own sticks and craft a naturally woven creation to take home. Our beautiful loose parts bell tent will also feature on the day, along with an area for construction and free play with large natural loose parts for younger children accompanying registered sibilings on the day. Bring a picnic and explore the Garden and lakeside surrounds after your session!
Cost: $18 child / $5 accompanying younger siblings (no weaving & whittling) / adult FREE

Whittling & Weaving
Hosted By: Mount Barker Community Library
Join us for a creative hands-on workshop with nature! Children will be guided by Nature Play SA educators to learn skills in whittling and weaving to create a tool and wovern art piece of their own. The sessions provide valuable opportunity for children to be creative, learn to use tools safely, take risks confidently, and practice self-control and persistence!
