Nature-Based Learning Champion

Anni is an educator and environmental advocate passionate about helping schools connect learning with the natural world. Through the Thriving Learners program, she collaborates with educators to co-design and facilitate nature play experiences that inspire curiosity, wellbeing, and deeper engagement for all learners.

Drawing on her background as a Primary School teacher, Anni supports educators to embed nature play within their pedagogy – creating meaningful links between curriculum, community, and the environment. With qualifications in Environmental Science and experience in conservation ecology and local government, she brings a rich environmental lens to her work.

For the past two years, Anni has been part of Nature Play SA’s Field Staff team, guiding children and educators to build confidence and connection in nature. Beyond work, she loves exploring the outdoors with her three young children and sharing the everyday wonder that comes from learning and playing outside.
