FAMILIES AND FRIENDS

Our inspiration for places to connect and recharge

We’re here to inspire you with ideas and opportunities to help you bring nature and adventure into your family’s life.

We know that spending more time outside in nature is good for us.

If you’re interested in increasing your engagement in unstructured play, and time spent outdoors, you’ve come to the right place. We’re here to provide ideas, encouragement and guidance on the little things you can do to make a big difference.

Things to do

Unstructured play outdoors teaches children about themselves, the world around them, and the way they function within it.

Their senses are fully engaged, curiosity is nurtured, speech and language skills are enhanced, problem solving and emotional regulation come to the forefront and, the big one, children learn about their capabilities and limitations – all of which are lifelong skills.

To support families in a shift toward more time spent outdoors, we run and participate in affordable events for your family to experience together. And, we have a range of lists and information sheets available for download – free for anyone who’s interested.

To help you make the most of time spent outdoors, we’ve developed a range of lists and information sheets with practical, creative and simple ideas for you to try with your children.
