Neighbourhood Nature
Nurturing Magpie
We can learn a lot about being nurturing from the Australian Magpie. Magpies hunt, sing, protect their territory, and raise their families together. They spend time exploring their surroundings and mimicking other birds, animals, and even people.
“We can help someone when they need it, invite others to join our games so no one feels left out, take care of plants, trees and wildlife, and check on people if they’re having a hard day.”

“Even though they’re known for swooping, Magpies are actually very nurturing and loyal birds. They look out for their families and work together to keep each other safe.”
